Positive Discipline in Everyday Parenting Workshop (Research and Evidence-based)
This workshop is aimed at parents/carers of children of all ages, from infancy to adolescence. It is also useful for future parents, family support workers, parent educators, and other professionals who work with parents and children.
Positive Discipline is an approach to parenting that teaches children and guides their behaviour, while respecting their rights to healthy development, protection from violence and participation in their learning. There are 4 clear principles of positive discipline. Parents will learn how to:
1) set goals,
2) create a positive home climate,
3) understand how children think and feel, and
4) problem solve in challenging situations
Parents will practise their skills in hands-on exercises and they will learn how to apply the same principles across a wide range of situations.

Tree of Life Workshop (Narrative Therapy)
The intention of the Tree of Life workshop is to consider how the tool “The Tree of Life” might be applied in participants lives. Participants enter the metaphor of the ‘Tree of Life’ by talking about trees and the memories they hold for them. Participants then create their own ‘Tree of Life’ by thinking about how their lives are sometimes like the different parts of the tree.
